Why is there a charge to enter an event in a public park?

Each year, the organizer of the festival, Caribbean Promotions Arts & Culture Inc. requires a Special Event Commercial Permit issued by the City of Toronto to at a cost of $46,000.

This permit grants us permission to hold the festival inside the park. The admission cost assist in defraying this and other costs associated with the event.

Without you, our loyal patrons this will not be possible and we thank you.

What items are prohibited?


  • NO FIREARMS, ammunition, or weapons of any kind (including knives), will be permitted access into festival site.
  • NO drones or other electronic flying devices (HIGHLY RESTRICTED AIRSPACE – NO EXCEPTIONS)
  • NO controlled substances or drug paraphernalia of any kind **including Cannabis**
  • NO large bags or backpacks OVER 14” x 11” x 5” (single compartment bags only)
  • NO professional cameras (SLR/DSLR, detachable lens)
  • NO outside food or beverage
  • NO fireworks or explosives
  • NO metal, steel or aluminum water bottles (empty, clear, plastic bottles ok)
  • NO coolers
  • NO air horns, noisemakers, bluetooth/aux speakers or instruments
  • NO audio recording devices
  • NO laser pointers
  • NO hoverboards, scooters, skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, or bikes (inside the venue)
  • NO glass in any form
  • NO Hi-Visibility Vests or any clothing that could be considered to imitate EVENT STAFF uniform (for non-event staff), or Emergency Services
Does the ticket price include food?

For general admission Ticket price includes main and cultural stage entertainment along with cooking exhibitions and corporate giveaways. Food Beverages and certain kid zone features are additional. Bring enough to support our arts and crafts village.

Are there any safety considerations in place (EMT)?

A full EMT station will be located on the venue along with paramedics..

Is parking available?

Parking is available on the grounds at no cost, on a first come first serve basis.

Overflow parking is available by Hollycrest for $5.00 per car on a first come first serve basis.

Is Jerk the only food being offered?

Whereas jerk food is the theme of our festival we have other food booths that sell a variety of food choices. Vegan food is one of the many options.

Can I bring my lawn chair?

We encourage you to bring a lawn chair and/or blanket to make yourself feel comfortable.

Can I bring in my own food and drinks?

No food or liquids will be allowed into the venue.

Will there be cash machines on site?

ATMs will be provided throughout the venue.

What time should I get there?

The earlier the better and the cheaper – admission cost goes up by $5 after 7:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Gates open at 5:00 pm on Fri. and 11:00 am on Saturday and Sunday.

Is there a minimum age for children to enter the Kidz Zone or any of the rides?

Rides that have height and age restrictions will be properly marked.

Is there any seating provided?

A limited number of seating is available through the park – No guarantees. However there is guaranteed seating inside the VIP Garden.

What is the performance schedule for this year’s Festival?

The Grace JerkFest Performance schedule is generally posted at the end of July.

What kind of food will there be at Grace JerkFest?

The focal point of the JerkFest is jerk food; therefore there will be a celebration of a wide array of jerk food.There will also be a limited supply of non-jerk food for the kids as well as for patrons who are looking to indulge in some of the other favourite dishes of the Caribbean!

Are your events 19+ only events?

No.However only 19+ patrons will be sold alcohol.Patrons could be asked to show proof of age.

What if I ride my bicycle? Is there a place to park my bicycle? Or can I ride around the festival?

Bicycles can be parked and chain against the outer perimeter fence.The festival organizers are not responsible for damage or theft of bicycles however caused.Patrons can also ride around inside on their bicycle however this is not encouraged as the grounds of the festival in the late afternoons onwards is often full to capacity.

What kinds of services are available for people with accessibility needs?

The festival is wheelchair accessible as well as it has washrooms that are wheel chair accessible. There are also designated areas for persons with disability to enjoy their meals and or the live entertainment. Please ask a staff for assistance and one would be more than happy to assist you.


Are tickets refundable?

All sales are final. There are no cancellations, exchanges or refunds.

Where can I purchase my tickets?

There are two ways to purchase tickets

1. Online, through our ticket service provider, TicketPro or

2. Ticket outlets

What types of payments are accepted?

Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, American Express, Interac (at participating banks: TD Bank & Royal Bank)

How do I print my e-Ticket?

An email will be sent to you within a few minutes of purchasing your tickets. The email will include your e-Ticket attached as an Adobe PDF file that you print on any printer on standard 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper.

Is my e-Ticket a valid ticket?

Yes, your e-Ticket is a valid ticket. No other ticket will be sent to you.

What if I haven't received my e-Tickets?

If you are unable to find the email containing your e-Ticket, it is possible that it was caught by your spam filters. Make sure to check your Junk or Spam folder for an email titled “Ticketpro Confirmation”, and drag it back to your inbox or mark it as Not Spam.
If you are using Gmail, the email may be found in the Promotions tab of your inbox.
You can also print your e-Ticket yourself:

  1. Log into your Ticketpro account
  2. Click on the “My tickets” link at the top of the page, then
  3. Click on “Reprint tickets”.

To reprint your e-Ticket:
