What’s Going on at TD JerkFest 2022?

After a two year hiatus, the 21st annual TD International Jerk Food and Music Festival returns to Centennial Park in Etobicoke, 256 Centennial Park Road from Friday August 5th to August 7th with phenomenal musical headliners. Here’s what to expect at this year’s festival:

 

Meet N’ Greet Boat Cruise

Your favourite jerk and music festival in Toronto is back and it’s in person! This year, we are cruising into our weekend festivities with a Meet N’ Greet Boat Cruise. This is the perfect opportunity to meet your favourite headliners scheduled to perform at TD JerkFest on Saturday and Sunday inside the park. Boarding time begins at 7:00pm on Thursday August 4th and we depart from 176 Cherry Street onboard The River Gambler. It’s a promising evening at sea, filled with great food, good vibes and lots of dancing.

Showcases & Contests 

Festivities resume in Centennial Park on August 5th – 7th as we celebrate the richest and sweetest of Caribbean heritage and cuisine. TD JerkFest is offering a talented selection of over 45 food, arts and craft vendors. There’s also some fun in store for our food lovers and taste testers! You’ll want to keep an eye out for our Hot and Spicy Jerk contest and live food interactive demonstrations. These sessions will run on Saturday and Sunday at noon, 3pm and 5pm. Each day, our first 60 patrons will get the chance to sample the chef’s creation!

Prizes & Surprises

From gift cards to three-night staycations, there are plenty of prizes and surprises to be won compliments of our partnering supermarket, Food Basics. And after a day filled with delicious cuisine, we’re also giving you the opportunity to help us decide which food vendor will be the People’s Choice of JerkFest 2022!  We’re bringing some upscale and VIP vibes for the 2022 TD Jerk Festival! We will be providing real VIP treatment with the Platinum Lounge that has upscale soft seating, meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks included. At JerkFest 2022 patrons can also purchase/ rent a Tiki umbrella combo that comes with four general admission tickets, a reserved umbrella and table.

We appreciate our TD JerkFest fam! We will be hosting customer appreciation hours presented by the City of Toronto and OLG on Saturday and Sunday between 10:00am - 2:00 PM. Admission during this time will be a special rate of $2.00 for kids and $5 for adults. Everyone is encouraged to bring two canned foods for the food banks and get a ticket for a chance to win a two nights stay at Travellers Beach Resorts in Negril Jamaica (no purchase necessary)

Live Performances & Entertainment 

Kicking off our weekend performances on Friday is Brian McKnight with some soulful R&B classics. Saturday and Sunday our lineup includes none other than the Queen of Soca herself, Alison Hinds and dancehall icon, Konshens. Not to mention, bringing sweet reggae vibes is the legendary Maxi Priest. We’ve also got a few of the city’s best local performers to set the day with quality entertainment. Not to worry, JerkFest is a day for the entire family. Our kids’ zone is filled with bouncy castles and rides, enough to make this weekend a memorable family affair!
